Hastelloy X, also known as Inconel HX, is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy containing approximately 22 percent chromium for outstanding resistance to oxidation at high temperatures up to 1200°C.
Hastelloy X has good high temperature and stress rupture properties above 790°C (1450°F) and can be used for applications up to 1200°C (2200°F). With the high levels of chromium, nickel and molybdenum in the material, Hastelloy X exhibits levels of corrosion resistance similar to high nickel alloys more customarily used in corrosion applications.
